Grace calls out to whosoever

What an awesome message while we were yet sinners Christ died for us! Paul teaching grace always pointed to the object of our faith being in Jesus Christ. God helps us preach the gospel message of whosoever...

“Whosoever”

-

Romans 9:1 I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, 2 that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, 4 who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; 5 of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

-

The Apostle Paul ’s love of people is truly unveiled. His heart ached to see revival come to his people. His heart was for the Jewish people. What a statement, that if him being accursed from Christ could bring his fellow countrymen into this covenant of grace he would be willing. Paul consistently points to Jesus is the way into covenant with God and there is no other way. There is a false doctrine running through the church today that we need to join up with Jews simply because they are Jews.

-

Jesus was Jewish and I want to walk carefully and lovingly here. There is indeed much blessing for the Jewish people from whom Christ, the law, and the covenant of promise came. There is one way into covenant with God today. It is through Jesus Christ alone! Those who reject Jesus is the Messiah have rejected the one true God.

-

John 8:19 Then they said to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also." 20 These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no one laid hands on Him, for His hour had not yet come. 21 Then Jesus said to them again, "I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come." 22 So the Jews said, "Will He kill Himself, because He says, 'Where I go you cannot come'?" 23 And He said to them, "You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins."

-

We as believers can not join ourselves to just anything. We must accept the words of Jesus. No man can know God except through Jesus Christ alone. All who do not accept Jesus is the exclusive way to God are of this world; they will die in their sins. I write it often, what men think of Jesus Christ determines their destiny.

-

2 John 1:9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

-

TV evangelist are inviting Jewish Rabbis who are without a confession of faith in Jesus Christ. Even espousing we may learn much from them. This is the spirit of anti-Christ in the church. Allow me to quote Jesus again.

-

Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 "But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

-

When the believer joins himself to the unbeliever we have become unequally yoked. We have been commanded to not do this.

-

1 John 5:11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Our greatest fellowship should be with those who agree with the testimony of 1 John 5. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

-

Romans 9:6 But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel , 7 nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, "In Isaac your seed shall be called." 8 That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.

-

Those who are the children of promise are those who have faith in Jesus Christ

-

Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

-

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

-

Romans 9:9 For this is the word of promise: "At this time I will come and Sarah shall have a son." 10 And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac 11 (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls), 12 it was said to her, "The older shall serve the younger." 13 As it is written, "Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated." 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! 15 For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion." 16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth." 18 Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens. 19 You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?" 20 But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, "Why have you made me like this?" 21 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor? 22 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, 24 even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? 25 As He says also in Hosea: "I will call them My people, who were not My people, And her beloved, who was not beloved." 26 "And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people,' There they shall be called sons of the living God."

-

Many believer have had much confusion in regards to this passage. Many have missed the truth taught in Romans 8 and then completely misunderstand the election of God. We have to this point laid the ground work for all of Romans so carefully! Some have gained an understanding of this passage above and make void everything they learned up to this point. Anyone preaching that faith in Jesus Christ is not the central truth of salvation is laying a completely different foundation than what the Apostle Paul carefully outline for the believer. Some taking this passage above out of context say “God makes some men evil and God makes some men righteous and they have forgotten what we already learned in Romans chapter 8. Without the proper building block in place you may certainly come to false conclusions about this passage here in Roman 9. Let’s go back to the building block verse that can open our understanding of the whole of this passage.

-

Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

-

Election is according to the foreknowledge of God. God in His foreknowledge knew who would serve Him. From His foreknowledge he allowed men to chose evil or good and helped them along in their choices.

-

1 Peter 1:2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

-

God told Israel time and again what their behavior would be and what His response would be. See the time God called out by name men who rose up and fulfilled what God said. King Josiah, King Cyrus to name just a couple. This indeed is God’s foreknowledge at work for the furtherance of His purpose. God in His foreknowledge knew man was going to sin and made the propitiation plan before the foundation of the world. God is so perfect in foreknowledge He called Jesus the lamb of God slain before the foundation of the world.

-

Many have misunderstood the Romans 9 passage ignoring the truth of God’s foreknowledge. Many twisted the doctrine of God’s election according to foreknowledge and called it God’s select elect. Men have to explain away so many passages of the Word of God when they come to this misunderstanding.

-

1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

-

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

-

God used the men and woman listed in Romans 9 indeed the righteous and unrighteous to further His purpose. Pharaoh hardened his heart and God helped him along and hardened his heart further. Esau hardened his heart and yes because of God’s foreknowledge God can say Jacob I loved and Esau I hated.

-

Jesus is the Lamb of God who was slain before the foundation of the world. God had salvation planned ever before man sinned. It is with God’s foreknowledge he chose men from the foundation of the world, some for destruction and some for righteousness

-

Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.'

-

Repentance and remission of sins is still the gospel message; at the name of Jesus men can find salvation.

-

Mark 8:34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.

-

John 3:36 "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

-

1 John 4:15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

-

Revelations 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Grace Abounds: God Is On Our Side

God is on our side and truly that is His abounding grace.

Grace Abounds: God Is On Our Side

-

Romans 8:23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

-

The apostle Paul begins this whole letter telling us the just shall live by faith! As long as we the believer are in this mortal body we will be walking in this covenant of faith. Bible faith is always the object of our faith being in Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The obedience of Jesus Christ makes possible for every believer to walk in hope. Not the wishful thinking hope of the world; this is the hope of confident and certain expectation in the redeeming power of the risen Savior.

-

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

-

What a great God we serve! While we are in eager expectation for the redemption of our mortal body we have the help of the Spirit! The Spirit also helps in our weaknesses! Coming into this covenant of life in Christ Jesus is so powerful. The Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be utter. Imagine the Spirit’s strong intercession; the Spirit’s intercession is always according to the will of God! Our union with God is much more vast than most dare to believer! Remember the much more’s of Romans chapter 5. Now we have an unveiling of the heart of God! The Spirit Himself interceding helping us in our weaknesses!

-

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

-

This covenant of grace we have been called to is so great! Those who have enter that covenant have a promise that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Genuine faith in Jesus Christ grants such great privilege. The no condemnation message is so great. All things working together for our good! Wow! What ever you may be going through the strong intercession of the Spirit is turning it for your good! Whatever the trial or affliction you have been given the privilege to cry out “Abba” Father. Jesus came to set us free from every bondage and all oppression. In the plan of salvation we have the mighty arm of God bringing salvation in the midst of our weakness.

-

-

Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

-

God’s plan for us is to bring us into the image of His Son. God longs for you to such a great degree. John told us the Father is seeking us. Here we find Jesus came in full cooperation for the Father to find us. What a awesome truth to know the Holy Spirit is too in cooperation with the fulfilling of the plan of God. It is so great that He is interceding on our behalf. Grace is God working in you!

-

Romans 8:30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

-

If God is for you who can be against you? Oh the depth of His calling for us. Oh the depth of justification we have. How great is it to say we have been glorified! God will not share His glory with men but those who are His sons have been glorified! These words of truth are so wonderful many saints don’t dare to believer the depths of the truth.

-

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

-

Do we dare believe the grace is so great that we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing? The saints are so busy trying to find the blessing they have missed the blessing has already been given! The saints are so busy looking for the favor we have missed favor has been granted by the sacrifice of Jesus. The Father has made you a partaker in the kingdom by the depth of the sacrifice of Jesus.

-

2 Peter1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,

-

The Father’s divine power has given us every thing we need for the issue of life. We must grow in the knowledge of the fullness of His grace! While we run around trying to find the victory through self improvement we have missed fullness of the gospel. The Father made provision for us to walk in full victory; God is on your side if you have ever truly surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus.

-

Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

-

Jesus invitation is marvelous! “learn from me”! Wow, Jesus invites us to learn from Him! Is your life laborious and are you heavy laden? If we will but run to the grace of God in the midst of our weakness He has promised us rest! Can’t serve God in your own strength? God has been waiting for you to give up for a long time! Now come learn of His goodness working in you!

-

Hebrews 13:20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

-

As it turns out the working out of our salvation is letting God work in us!

-

Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

-

So many have told a half truth which is really nothing more than a lie. We must not tell the believer to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling and not finish the complete truth of it all! For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

-

Romans 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

-

Here we have in Romans 8 such beautiful truth it is hard to grasp completely. The Father spared not His Son for us; The Holy Spirit is interceding for us! Now Jesus is at the right hand of God making intercession for us! With Jesus the Father is freely giving us all things!

-

While religious folks may be accusing you, and the devil may be accusing you, God is standing up for you through Jesus Christ! Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies! Never forget you have an Advocate with the Father. The Advocate is Christ Jesus who stands forever as your propitiation! You have been joined to Christ and no one else has any right to accuse you! You have been blood bought by Jesus Christ and He is even now making intercession for you!

-

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

-

Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ; He has made us more than conquerors! Jesus is the conqueror; He has made us more than conquerors. Jesus won the victory on our behalf.

-

Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

-

Jesus has triumphed over everything that was against us! The principalities and powers holding us in sin shame and condemnation has been made a public spectacle. No principalities or powers have any claim or right to us; Jesus paid it all.

-

Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

-

God is on your side! Grace abounds and you can walk in complete victory!

Grace Abounds: Abba Father Is Our Cry

Grace abounding brings us the right to cry our Abba, Father! What sweet communion God has provided for His children.

Grace Abounds: Abba Father Is Our Cry

-

Romans 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

-

How great is the grace of God! From no condemnation to an “Abba, Father” relationship. God’s divine influence upon the heart brings this sweet fellowship with God. True salvation is always rooted in true fellowship with God! The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set the believer free from the spirit of bondage and the chains of fear that bind. Salvation’s quality, Jesus saves us to the uttermost.

-

Hebrews 7:25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

-

Freedom from sin and condemnation is so great! Our righteousness that is like filthy rags is traded for the righteousness of Jesus Christ Himself.

-

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

-

We are changed from slaves of sin to becoming a member of the household of faith. Sons and daughters which belong in the house.

-

John 8:35 "And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

-

If the Son has set you free you are free indeed! Sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but under grace.

-

Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

-

This grace message that brings us to adoption where by we can cry “Abba Father” brings us great hope. The true gospel message is the reconciliation between God the Father and man. Because of Jesus and the work of Calvary we too can cry out “Abba Father” Abba is a word that is an expression. Have you ever been around a newborn with her child. By the expression of the babies cry the mother knows what to do. The Father has such a heart for you that your very expression and sigh moves the Father’s heart. Some have said that we may cry daddy, daddy. It is the intimacy that can not be missed between a loving God and one He has made His own.

-

Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

-

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit! We must learn to renew the mind to be in agreement with what the Spirit of God witnesses to our spirit! The greater degree we renew our mind will be the greater degree we will know how to walk as heirs and joint heirs with Christ. Just as Christ suffered in the body we to must reckon our bodies dead indeed to sin and alive unto God.

-

Does this speak of sinless perfection for every believer? Yes, the perfect sinless perfection of Jesus Christ and there is no other! However, we as believers, as long as we have these mortal bodies, will have the propensity to sin. It goes back to rightly dividing the Word of God! The spirit of man joined back to the Spirit of God, the soul of man begins the process of renewing the mind, and the body of man waiting for the final redemption. Reckon ourselves dead indeed to sin and alive unto God, based upon the eternal work of Jesus Christ.

-

-

Ephesians 4:22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

-

Victory over sin is not elusive! We must learn to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ! The Spirit of the Lord always leads us into triumph. We have been joined back to God, Spirit to spirit for the very purpose of following the leading of the Spirit of God. Our decision making in life must be based upon the truth that Jesus has set us free from sin! Knowing freedom from sin is the abundant life Jesus said He came to bring. Belonging to God gives you the right to cry out Abba Father; this brings a confidence over every ploy of the enemy.

-

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

-

John 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

-

Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

-

-

Grace abounds: we can cry out Abba Father! We have access into the throne room of God itself. However that does not guarantee a trouble free, no problem life. However it does promise us a great payment with the greater glory of God in due time.

-

2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

-

While the redemption of our spirit is complete and there will always be a work in progress in our soul, our bodies are indeed waiting for that great final redemption. This promise of glory far outweighs any troubles or heartaches this life may bring. We have God’s Word on it!

-

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

-

Those of us who have been born again eagerly are waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our bodies. What a day it will be when our mortal bodies shall put on immortality.

-

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed; 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." 55 "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" 56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

-

Our mortal bodies will one day put on a new body. The perfected work in our spirit will be matched with the final redemption of a incorruptible body. We shall be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Your victory is in Jesus Christ. It always has been and always will be!

-

This grace abounding gives us the liberty to cry out Abba Father! The blessed hope we have is because of the Father’s love for us.

-

Colossians 1:12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

-

We serve a good God who has plans of great success and hope for you! Us leaning to lean upon His everlasting arms brings Him pleasure. Grace abounding was God’s plan to over turn the powers of darkness. Grace abounding is our security and anchor for our soul!
