Knowing God By Grace and Truth

Knowing God by grace and truth is learning to know God through intimacy!
Knowing God By Grace and Truth

John 1:18  No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

Jesus Christ has come declaring who God is!  This is not just an intellectual knowledge of God this is knowing God -Spirit to spirit and heart to heart.  Jesus is in the bosom of the Father and from that position He comes full of grace and truth!

John 1:10  He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.  11  He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.  12  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:  13  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

John the beloved wrote so many precious truths about Jesus  As many as received Jesus, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, to those who believe in His name.  What you believe about Jesus determines your destiny!  Being born by the will of God is the birth that we call the born again experience.  Jesus came for the purpose of making clear the heart desires of the Father.  As the verse says so plainly Jesus came full of grace and truth.  Jesus with divine influence and revelation knowledge of God wants to minister to you.

John 1:16  And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.  17  For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

From the fullness of Jesus Christ we receive from God!  There is no other way to receive from God.  It is the covenant we have been brought into!  We receive grace for grace; from divine influence to divine influence.  The law was given through Moses; but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.  Jesus came bringing a way of access and intimacy with God that was not available before He came.

Hebrews 8:6  But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

Jesus has a more excellent ministry and is a Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.  Some believers have never lived in victory because they have never come to the revelations brought through Jesus Christ.  They still in some way try to appropriate victory through the old covenant.  On the authority of the Word of God, believers need to come up higher in walk in the more excellent ministry, the better covenant, established on better promises.

Ephesians 1:17  that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,  18  the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,  19  and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

The Father’s plan of salvation came with saving us from sin to the utter most.  Knowing your inheritance as an adopted son brings a new way of living.  When we begin to live with an understanding of the power of God working toward us in us and through us we will be walking in the triumph God is trying to lead us to.

Victory in Jesus is not elusive!  The greater the intimacy with Him the greater the victory we will walk in.  Does it mean nothing will ever go wrong?  No!  It means we learn to turn our eyes upon Jesus quickly and we know in whom we have believed in.  It is a confident expectation of our God.

Ephesians 1:20  which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,  21  far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.  22  And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,  23  which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

The power that God is working toward us is the same power He worked in Christ Jesus when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.  Can we consider what great power God is working in us the believer.  God wants us to have a revelation of that power working in us!  Jesus is our head and the Father has seated Him far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named.  There is no need to walk in defeat; the same power that raised Christ from the dead is working toward you.  Jesus is the head of the church and He has all dominion; surrender to His Lordship, you can trust Him.  The victory is yours, because Christ is the head and we are His body!  Jesus is the head, the church is His body and all things are under His feet!  Turn your eyes upon Jesus!  Jesus victory is your victory!  You are not alone.

Ephesians 3:20  Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  21  to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

The church needs a greater revelation of the of the power that works in us.  This passage begins with Paul praying for the Ephesians to be strengthened in the inner man by the Spirit of God.  His prayer was for the Ephesians to comprehend the love of God.  We the church need to be rooted and grounded in the love of God.  If we are to see a great revival our hearts must be established by the word of grace.

God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.  We must begin walking in relationship with God by first hand revelation knowledge.

Ephesians 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,  5  even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),  6  and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,  7  that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

God has a desire to show the exceeding riches of His grace toward us!  It is time for us to stop and consider the great love of God.  What degree of love did God use when poured out His mercy upon us?   Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the children of God.   The enemy of our soul knows if we begin to trust the love of God the Father he would have trouble selling us his lies.  So often behind a life of a discouraged saint is a lie of the enemy.   The enemy  wants us to feel unloved, alone, uncertain, fearful, and discouraged.  To know God is to trust God.  We can trust His presence, His love, His peace, and joy.  Jesus came that you may walk in abundant life; it is not elusive it is possible.  Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil making it possible for you to enjoy your heavenly setting God has given.  Do you dare see yourself sitting in heavenly places with Christ Jesus!  Arise shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you!
