Judges 6:11 Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites. 12 And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, "The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!" 13 Gideon said to Him, "O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, 'Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt ?' But now the LORD has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites." 6:14 Then the LORD turned to him and said, "Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?" 15 So he said to Him, "O my Lord, how can I save Israel ? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house." 16 And the LORD said to him, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man." 17 Then he said to Him, "If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talk with me. 18 "Do not depart from here, I pray, until I come to You and bring out my offering and set it before You." And He said, "I will wait until you come back." 19 So Gideon went in and prepared a young goat, and unleavened bread from an ephah of flour. The meat he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot; and he brought them out to Him under the terebinth tree and presented them. 20 The Angel of God said to him, "Take the meat and the unleavened bread and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth." And he did so. 21 Then the Angel of the LORD put out the end of the staff that was in His hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened bread; and fire rose out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened bread. And the Angel of the LORD departed out of his sight. 22 Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the LORD. So Gideon said, "Alas, O Lord GOD! For I have seen the Angel of the LORD face to face." 23 Then the LORD said to him, "Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die." 24 So Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it The-LORD-Is-Peace. To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

Lesson learned from the passage Jehovah Shalom the Lord is Peace:

1 Your present actions does not limit God’s ability to see you from His own perspective.

2 God wants to move you from your own perceptions and have you walk in His intended purpose for your life.

3 Without peace one walks in fear; Without peace you can not see yourself the way God does.

4 When God sees fear He speaks peace.

Jesus is revealed as Jehovah Shalom:

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Lessons learned knowing Jesus as our peace Jehovah Shalom:

1 Isaiah 9:6 declares Jesus to be the prince of peace.

2 Jesus Himself is our peace; He is our oneness with God.

3 Jesus abolished in His flesh the enmity (hostility), the law of commandments, bringing Jew and Gentile to oneness with God.

4 Hostility between God and man has ended at the cross. Enmity was put to death!

5 Jesus now preaches peace to all showing us the access we have to the Father. Jesus is our peace!

Lesson from the Passage Jehovah Nissi the Lord our Banner:

1 God has chosen leadership, if we will hold up the leaders hand in support God can give us such a momentous victory we will testify God is our banner. Many want God to be their banner without consideration of the fullness of truth. God has an ordained order and to walk in the fullness of the blessing we must walk in His order.

2 When Aaron and Hur held up Moses' hand the battle went well for the children of Israel . Without the support of Aaron and Hur Moses did not possess the strength to hold out the rod to the end of the battle. God needs us to hold up the hands of our leadership.

3 We can fly the flag that God is our banner as we submit to Him

Jesus is reveled as Jehovah Nissi our banner that causes rest:

Isaiah 11:10 "And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious."

Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Hebrews 4:3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest,' " although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works";

Hebrews 4:9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house.

Lessons learned from knowing Jesus as our banner Jehovah Nissi:

1 Jesus is the root of Jesse who stands as our banner before God and brings us into God’s rest!

2 Faith in Jesus is the exclusive way to walk in rest.

3 Jesus is our banner in as such He entered into the presence of God on our behalf. We now have access to God the Father because Jesus is our forerunner into the Father’s presence.

4 Jesus is our banner as the Apostle and High Priest of the confession of our faith in Him!

Psalm 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.

Lesson learned from passages Jehovah Rapha:

1 God's people were complaining the waters were bitter; God will remove the bitterness and make life sweet if we will trust in His abilities to bring wholeness and soundness to our deepest wounds.

2 God's desire for His people to walk in health and wholeness has never been hidden. The scriptures are replete with God’s stated desire.

3 God’s desire is for us to be healed and whole spirit, soul, and body.

4 There is a key to deliverance; blessing the Lord and forgetting not His benefits. Remember the greatness of our God

Jesus is revealed in being our Jehovah Rapha :

Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Matthew 8:14 Now when Jesus had come into Peter's house, He saw his wife's mother lying sick with a fever. 15 So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them. 16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses."

1 Peter 2:22 "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"; 23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.

Lesson learned from knowing Jesus as our healer Jehovah Rapha:

1 The wrath of the Father was poured out upon Jesus that you may walk in righteousness. (Righteousness: is being brought into right relationship with God exclusively upon our faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ alone.) By Jesus' stripes you were healed!

2 The desire of God is revealed in Jesus Christ; Jesus healed all who were sick and at the cross bore our sin and sickness.

3 The punishment for our peace was upon Jesus! Healing can only be appropriated by faith in the work Jesus did at the cross.

4 Jesus earned wholeness for the whole man spirit, soul, and body!

Genesis 22:14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, "In the Mount of The LORD it shall be provided."

And he said, "Here I am." 2 Then He said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah , and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you." 3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you." 6 So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. 7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, "My father!" And he said, "Here I am, my son." Genesis 22:18 "In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."

Lesson learned from the passage Jehovah Jireh the Lord will provide:

1 God will test the genuineness of your faith as God tested Abraham’s faith. Jesus has set the standard high.

Luke 14:25 Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, 26 "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 "And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 "For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it; 29 "lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, "saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.' 31 "Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 "Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. 33 "So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

2 Abraham believed in God to such a great degree he proclaimed to his servants the lad and I will return shortly. He believed in his God so much he told his Isaac God will provide the sacrifice.

3 The great promise unveiled that through the seed (singular) all the nations of the world would be blessed.

Jesus revealed as Jehovah Jireh God provision is seen:

Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ.17 And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise. 19 What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator.

John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

1 John 4:9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Lesson learned from knowing Jesus is our provision Jehovah Jireh:

1 Jesus is the promised seed spoken to Adam and Eve Genesis 3:15 and the promised seed of Abraham Genesis 22:18

2 Jesus’ forerunner, John the Baptist, announced Him as the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. The great provision for man to be reconciled back to God depended on sin being dealt with.

3 God's greatest demonstration of love was sending Jesus as our Messiah to bear our sins.

4 Jesus put away sin with the sacrifice Himself.

5 Jesus bore the sin shame and the wrath of God was poured out upon Him. The Father was appeased with this sacrifice. (Isaiah 53:10-11)

6 Jesus paid the full price for sin; however we must surrender all just as Abraham had to! No surrender; no salvation! Many have never counted the cost to follow Jesus. False conversion is satan’s best tool of deception.

Part 2 of the redemptive names of God!

Much of the Old Testament is Jesus Christ hidden! The New Testament is Jesus Christ reveal. The Old represents the shadows, types and patterns; however Jesus Christ is the substance of the covenant from which born again believers have been birthed! Last week, He is all our righteousness; this week, He is the God that Sanctifies!

Leviticus 20:1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 "Again, you shall say to the children of Israel : 'Whoever of the children of Israel , or of the strangers who dwell in Israel , who gives any of his descendants to Molech, he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3 'I will set My face against that man, and will cut him off from his people, because he has given some of his descendants to Molech, to defile My sanctuary and profane My holy name. 4 'And if the people of the land should in any way hide their eyes from the man, when he gives some of his descendants to Molech, and they do not kill him, 5 'then I will set My face against that man and against his family; and I will cut him off from his people, and all who prostitute themselves with him to commit harlotry with Molech. 6 'And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people. 7 'Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the LORD your God. 8 'And you shall keep My statutes, and perform them: I am the LORD who sanctifies you.

Lessons learned from Jehovah M’kaddesh the Lord who sanctifies passage:

1 God declared Himself to be the one who sanctifies the people and with the strength of that truth commanded them to live holy.

2 God commanded the Israelites to keep themselves from false gods. There was great warning do not consult with mediums, wizards (drugs), or familiar spirits. Our society today is dancing with these great evils. Many “church people do not recognize they are dabbling in what is abominable to God.

3 To be sanctified by God is to have God call you His own!

Jesus revealed as Jehovah M’kaddesh our Sanctifier:

Hebrews 10:7 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come; In the volume of the book it is written of Me; To do Your will, O God.'"

Hebrews 10:9 then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

1 Peter 1:13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." 17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; 18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Lesson learned from knowing Jesus as our sanctifier Jehovah M’kaddesh:

1 Jesus took away the first covenant (the law) that he might established the second covenant (covenant of grace and truth John 1:14, 16-17)

2 Jesus Christ, with the sacrifice of Himself, sanctified us (genuine believers) once and for all.

3 As it stated in Hebrews 10:14 Jesus has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. Hebrews 12:23 speaks of this perfection of just men’s spirits made perfect. It is imputed perfection based upon the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Perfection in our spirit being worked out in our soul until the final day of redemption.

4 Because of the divine influence that has brought sanctification we need to gather the stray thoughts in our mind and bring them unto subjection to the obedience of Jesus Christ.

5 Because God is holy we can walk holy. Not in our old man (we had to put it to death). But the new man can walk in holiness because that is how God created it. The new man is created in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:24

6 Christ imputed sanctification to us based upon us being born of the imperishable seed of God!

Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings," says the LORD. 3 "But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. 4 "I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking," says the LORD. 5 "Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. 6 In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Lesson from Jehovah Tsidkenu the Lord our righteousness passage:

1 The shepherds of the flocks of God were not bringing life to the sheep in fact the leaders of the people were leading the way, forsaking right living. Instead of the leaders leading the children of Israel into living that would produce life they had become the instigators of living in wickedness.

2 In the declaration that the shepherds would be judged was the promise that one day the nation and the city of God would be walking in such great righteousness that it would be called by God’s name The Lord our righteousness.

Jesus revealed as Jehovah Tsidkenu our righteousness:

Hebrews 1:8 But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions."

2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Romans 4:20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore "it was accounted to him for righteousness." 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,

Lessons learned from knowing Jesus as Jehovah Tsidkenu our righteousness:

1 Hebrews 1: 8-9 reveal Jesus being exalted by the words of God the Father. What is the Father praising the Son for? Because He loved righteousness! The Father said of Jesus that your whole Kingdom would be a rule of righteousness.

2 Jesus became sin that we might become the righteousness of God. This is the work of the cross of Calvary ; Jesus bore our sin and indeed the sin of the world that we might have righteousness imputed to us. What an awesome God!!
