Embracing God’s Promises

Embracing God's promises will bring the Word to pass in your life.
Embracing God’s Promises

2 Corinthians 1:20  For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.  21  Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God,  22  who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

God’s Word is sure!  His promises are Yes, and in Him amen!  We are kept and guarded by His very Word.  It is time for the body of Christ to embrace the promises of God!  It is God who establishes and anoints us!  God has sealed us and given the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee!  The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said “Many of My children have embraced My promises only as possibilities”.  Brothers and sister we must not embrace God promises as only a possibility in our life.  We have embraced the scheme of the enemy of our soul when we see God’s promises only as a possibility.  What God has spoken is sure and steadfast and His promises can not be embraced as only a possibility in our lives!  We must embrace the promises of God as immutable

Hebrews 6:4  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,  5  and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,  6  if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.  7  For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God;  8  but if it bears thorns and briars, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened if they fall away to renew them again to repentance.  Who are these people that Hebrews 6 speaks of?  It is those who deny Christ and the work of His cross.  Not only have they have backed off from the sureness of the promise, they don’t believe the promise is  possible.  They have removed their eyes from the beauty of the gospel of the cross by the hardness of their heart; they have crucified again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Hebrews 6:9  But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner.

Like the writer of Hebrews, beloved I am confident of better things concerning you!  Yes the things that accompany salvation!  It is my desire that every believer will be moved from seeing God promises as a possibility to a sure certain conclusion in their own life.

Hebrews 6:10  For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Don’t give up on the sureness of God word; God has not and will not forget your labor love.  God has been paying attention even though you may have not felt like it was so.
Hebrews 6:11  And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,  12  that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Don’t give up but be diligent and walk with a full assurance of hope until the end.  Don’t become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.  Believer you will receive the promises through faith and patience!  You will reap if you faint not.

Hebrews 6:13  For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,  14  saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you."  15  And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Consider the One who has made the promise!  God has swore by Himself that His promises are true!  When it came to the promise God told Abraham I will make you a father of many nations.  Abraham’s name itself means the father of many nations.  God gave Abram a name change to make him consider the word of God.  Abraham could not say his name without a reminder of the promise of God.

Romans 4:17  (as it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations") in the presence of Him whom he believed; God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;  18  who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be."  19  And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb.  20  He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,  21  and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

When one embraces the promise of God it makes all other considerations pointless!  Abraham did not consider his own body, already dead or the deadness of Sarah’s womb!  Why did he not consider the circumstances that seem to make the promises impossible?  Abraham consider the greatness of His God!  The God of Abraham gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.  The hopeless situation does not have to be considered because of the greatness of the God who has made the promise.

Hebrews 6:16  For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute.  17  Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath,

God has made an oath!  God can not lie!  Oh heir of promise, the counsel of God is immutable and God has confirmed His promise by an oath!  God’s oath is greater than your circumstance if you will but turn your eyes to the one who gave the promise.

Hebrews 8:6  But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenantwhich was established on better promises.

Beloved don’t give up the promises, they are not a set of possibilities, they are sure promises of salvation, healing, deliverance, and provision.  God word is sure steadfast and unmovable and immutable!  When God speaks it, it becomes more than a possibility.  Lay hold of the promise of God; His word is definite and true.

Hebrews 6:18  that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.  19  This hope we have as an anchor of the soulboth sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,  20  where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Your soul can be anchored in the sureness of His word.  Based on the authority of Jesus Christ and the power of His word His promises are sure and will come to pass.  Jesus made the way into the very presence of God.  You are invited to come in!

Isa 55:8  "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD.  9  "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.  10  "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,  11  So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Put God’s word in your mouth.  His word will accomplish what He pleases.  His word shall prosper in the thing for which He sent it!  Will you consider God is faithful; your strength can only be increased to receive all God has for you when you consider His faithfulness.

Hebrews 11:11  By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.  12  Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude; innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.  13  These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of themembraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Sarah womb was dead; however her body received strength to conceive when she counted God to be faithful to His word.  It is not time to see God promises as a possibility in our life; there is no strength to conceive the promise in that mind set.  See the promise of God, embrace the promises of God, and count your God as faithful.  All other considerations will fall by the way side when you embrace the promises of God!
