Grace does an eternal work. We have gained access to the holy God by the greatness of the sacrifice of Jesus. He who the Son sets free from sins is free indeed.

THE LAW: Sin sacrifice was temporal and never did a perfecting work in the believer
Hebrews 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
The law was only a shadow of the good things to come; no power for victory in a shadow. There was always a consciousness of sin! Every year every worshiper was reminded of sins! The blood of bulls and goats could not take sins away!
The believer who remains reminded of sin day by day still remains under the auspices of the law. The sin consciousness keeps them from the victory over sin provided by the grace of the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.“
One cannot pick the portion of the law they want to abide by without bringing all things written in the book of the law. Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things written in the law; this is for the one bringing themselves under the works of the law.
The cross completed an eternal work
Hebrews 10:12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,
Jesus provided one sacrifice forever! Behold the Lamb of God who takes the sin away!
Hebrews 1:3 He is the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
Jesus by Himself purged our sins, and sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high!
Hebrews 7:19 for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
The law could not bring perfection; God had a better covenant in mind to bring us near!
Hebrews 9:12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
… 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another; 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
Jesus with His own blood obtained eternal redemption! Jesus appeared in the presence of God for us! Jesus put sin away by the sacrifice of Himself! Jesus bore our sin so we don’t have to!
Grace’s sin sacrifice brings eternal consequence to the believer
Hebrews 7:24 But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
JESUS our High Priest saves to the uttermost, always making intercession for us!
Hebrews 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. … 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
We have been sanctified once for all by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ … by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. Our identity needs to come from the word of God itself! You are who God says you are! This is truth of our spirits
Romans 4:3 For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.“ 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. 5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,
If righteousness is of works it is no longer by grace we are saved. Our faith in Jesus Christ the Messiah is accounted for righteousness!
LIMITED ACCESS TO GOD THROUGH THE LAW
Hebrews 9:1 Then indeed, even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and the earthly sanctuary. 2 For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary; 3 and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, 4 which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; 5 and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.
6 Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services.7 But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people's sins committed in ignorance; 8 the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. 9 It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience;
The old testament saints had no access to the presence of God. Once a year their high priest went into the Most Holy Place . Access to God was limited to say the least!
When Jesus Died On the Cross the Veil of Separation Was Torn In Two
Mark 15:37 And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. 38 Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
The work of the cross tore the veil in the Most Holy Place ; access is now granted!
Hebrews 9:10 concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation. 11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.
Jesus came and brought the reformation that set us free from the law; however it is not just what we have been set free from! We have been set free into the presence of God!
Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Jesus was our forerunner into the presence of God; the Father is expecting you!
ACCESS INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD HAS BEEN GRANTED ; MOUNT ZION THE COVENANT OF GRACE
Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
When the object of your faith is in Jesus Christ access has been granted into divine influence; the blood of the cross has brought us peace with God!
Ephesians 2:18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
The access to the Father is so great we are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. You now belong in the household of God; come on in!
Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hold on to your confession of faith toward Jesus Christ. It is your invitation to come boldly into the throne of grace; come in your hour of weakness and time of need.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
Romans 5 is the much more chapters. If God would die for you while you were sinners there is a much more truth to be applied. Now that you have been justified by His blood you shall be saved from wrath through Him!! Much more being reconciled we shall be saved by His life!!
Romans 5:17 For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
THE LAW OFFERED NO FREEDOM FROM SIN
Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. 5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me. 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. 7 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come; In the volume of the book it is written of Me; To do Your will, O God.'“ 8 Previously saying, "Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the law),
MOUNT SINAI THE LAW
The blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin God had no pleasure. All the sacrifices and offering pointed to the Lamb of God that was to come that actually dealt with sin. The animal sacrifices only did a temporary work sanctifying the flesh of the worshipper and needed repeated over and over.
Hebrews 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,…
JESUS SOUL WAS AN OFFERING FOR SIN; THE FATHER WAS SATISFIED
MOUNT CALVARY THE CROSS
Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. 11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.
The sacrifice of Jesus' body on the cross appeased our Holy Father. It pleased the Father’s holiness and justice; the separation between God and Man had a bases for reconciliation. The lamb of God was so great that there will never be a need for another sacrifice for sin. Jesus as the sacrifice brings freedom from sin for true believers.
1 Peter 1:18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
JESUS CAME SAVING PEOPLE FROM THEIR SIN. HE WHO THE SON SET FREE… MOUNT ZION THE COVENANT OF GRACE
John 8:31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.“ 33 They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, 'You will be made free'?“ 34 Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 "And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
Romans 6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
When we came to Jesus, we died to sin; it is a one time deal. Like Jesus died to sin once for all, we reckon ourselves dead to sin; it is indeed a faith issue! FREE AT LAST
