God’s Divine Order

God's divine order for the presence of God to abide is surrendering to the Holy Spirit
God’s Divine Order
-
God’s divine order is not a new subject matter. I have written several Bible studies in regard to it. Yet again I feel God stirring the subject matter in my spirit. When God keeps bringing a truth to our heart it is because there is something of value He is trying to teach us. I pray for eyes to see and ears to hear so that God’s word might be perceived and understood.
-
1Chronicles 13 is the story of King David moving the Ark of the Covenant out side of God divine order. He consulted with his army captains, his advisors around him, and the people in general. All thought is was a good idea to move the ark where the presence of God dwelt. They brought in some oxen and hoisted the ark upon a new cart and away they went. They were having a great celebration, instruments going, and songs singing, what a time! Then the oxen stumble and a man stuck out his hand to steady the ark and the wrath of God broke out. Uzza was the man that died because Israel had moved the Ark of the Covenant outside of God’s divine order.
-
Every time I read this passage it stirs my soul. God, I want to walk in your divine order. Praise the Lord the story did not end at the disorder but went on to show us a pattern to live in the divine order of God.
-
1 Chronicles 15:1 David built houses for himself in the City of David ; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it.
-
Here is the beginning of King David moving the ark in God’s divine way and God’s divine order. It was a noble thing that David wanted to move the ark to where he was. Don’t we all want to live in the presence of God. This time however the scriptures say David prepared a place for the ark of God. We must make preparation for the presence of God in our lives. The first time David tried to move the ark he had made no preparations for it!
-
The divine order for walking in God’s holy presence is giving Jesus 1st place in our lives. It can not be second to any one or anything! Jesus said it emphatically and I will quote:
-
Luke 14:26 "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 "And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 "For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it; 29 "lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 "saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.' 31 "Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 "Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. 33 "So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.
-
Jesus declared He must be given 1st place. If you will not and have not, you do not have salvation. Don’t try and presume upon the presence of God and be unwilling to come God’s way. The preparation is complete at total surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
1 Chronicles 15:2 Then David said, "No one may carry the ark of God but the Levites, for the LORD has chosen them to carry the ark of God and to minister before Him forever." 3 And David gathered all Israel together at Jerusalem , to bring up the ark of the LORD to its place, which he had prepared for it. 4 Then David assembled the children of Aaron and the Levites:
-
David’s first attempt to move the ark of the Lord was on a cart carried by oxen. In David’s second attempt he realized only the priest of God were ordained to carry the ark of God
-
Oxen carrying the presence of God was an abomination; we can not carry the presence of God by human strength or making a brand new cart when God already has a divine order. We should never be removed from the divine order set forth by the word of God.
-
Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, … Heb 3:6 but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
-
Jesus Christ alone is our High Priest and He alone is the Apostle and High Priest of our confession.
-
Hebrews 9:24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;
-
Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
-
God has made a divinely ordered way into the presence of God and it is exclusively through the Lord Jesus Christ, and there is no other way! You can gain all the counsel of the world you want and it will never bring you into the presence of God. Men have devised plans and schemes to come into God's presence; however God has one way of divine order that brings us into His presence. Our expectation has to be upon Jesus Christ and Him alone.
-
1 Chronicles 15:12 He said to them, "You are the heads of the fathers' houses of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brethren, that you may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it. 13 "For because you did not do it the first time, the LORD our God broke out against us, because we did not consult Him about the proper order."
-
The first time David consulted with men the second time he consulted with God and found that God had an order and it must be walked in. The results of walking out side of God’s order was fatal.
-
1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
-
Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
-
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
-
Divine order begins with the cross and continues with seeking God diligently; it has a great reward. If we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all theses things shall be added to you! If we will put God first every other need of life will be meet according to His riches in glory.
-
1 Chronicles 15:14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel . 15 And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders, by its poles, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the LORD. 16 Then David spoke to the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers accompanied by instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, by raising the voice with resounding joy.
-
The Levites sanctified themselves doing it God’s way according to the word of the Lord. We as believers need to allow the word of God itself to set the standard. David sought out the best advise of the people around and though it was a noble purpose it failed because they were not operating according to God’s divine order. The Holy Spirit Himself wants to direct our steps and bring us into the divine order of God. The word of God is stronger than advice of a good friend. Our standard should never come from comparing ourselves among ourselves.
-
1 Chronicles 15:25 So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the house of Obed-Edom with joy. 26 And so it was, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bulls and seven rams. 27 David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the music master with the singers. David also wore a linen ephod. 28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting and with the sound of the horn, with trumpets and with cymbals, making music with stringed instruments and harps.
-
When David was moving the ark based on the advice of the men around him there was no help from God. Now that David consulted God and did it God’s way there was help from God. God accepted the offering and worship as the ark was moved the way God had commanded. Only in divine order do we receive God’s help
-
Walking in God’s divine order brings rest to the soul.
-
Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
-
God’s divine order is submitting to the yoke of Jesus Christ. Setting at His feet and learning to live with your soul at rest is part of the abundant life Jesus came to bring.
-
John 1:18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
-
Divine order for the believer is learning from the bosom of the Father; this is the position Jesus shares the Father from. The divine order of God is to walk in intimacy with God.
-
Matthew 5:23 "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 "leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
-
Part of God’s divine order is walking with a clean heart before God and man. If you have repented before God go and make it right with your brother before you come to bring the sacrifice of praise before God.
-
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
-
You have an anointing from the Holy One; When walking in divine order the anointing teaches you. May the church arise and live daily in the anointing God’s divine order has provided.
